Designed to protect high-resolution color LCD screens in handsets, the EClamp 2340C provides ESD, RFI, and EMI protection and is capable of replacing up to 40 discrete components in a typical cell-phone design. The device is housed in a 25-bump, 2.6 mm x 2.6 mm x 0.75 mm flip chip package with a proprietary, non-conductive coating that reduces the potential for chipping during wafer sawing and prevents micro-cracks that can occur during automated pick and place operations. The device supports 10 data lines, each containing a low-pass RC filter network flanked by TVS diodes at either end. A 100W series resistor and an 18 pF capacitor are used to achieve 25 dB minimum attenuation from 800 MHz to 3G Hz for each filter. Price is $0.68 each/3,000. SEMTECH CORP., Camarillo, CA.
