The result of partnering with TRINAMIC Motion Control GmbH & Co. on the software side, the TMCM-303 and TMCM-310 3-axis controllers provide a complete motion control system in compact packages. The 80 mm x 50 mm² TMCM-303 is a 1- to 3-axis stepper controller with an output current up to 1.5A per phase and is capable of supporting 16x micro stepping. It can be remote controlled via CAN, RS-232, or RS-485 interfaces and includes a ramp generator plus a smart, multi-level current control. Sharing the same features as the TMCM-303, the TMCM-310 adds an RS-232 level shifter, two optional 12-bit a/d converter inputs, a SPI controllable by an external master, and a reset button. It can be operated as a stand-alone unit and measures 160 mm x 100 mm². For further information and prices, contact LIN ENGINEERING, Santa Clara, CA. (408) 919-0200.
