Ready for electronic and test assembly chores, the SPiiPlus Series and MC4U Series motion controllers combine high velocities of meters per second with sub-micron resolution using Sin-Cos multipliers for optimal accuracy. Both series provide servo control algorithm execution at a fixed rate of 20 kHz for each axis. Relying on a distributed multi-processor control architecture, the components can change motion profiles on-the-fly based on vision-sensor input and can also provide sub-nanometer position interpolation of sincos encoder feedback. PIV control algorithms and filters are customizable to address special needs. Additionally, full CANOpen support allows configuration of SPiiPlus controllers as a CANOpen Master according to the DS-402 specification and control up to 64 nodes of motion or I/O.
