Low-Power MCU Family Nestles Into IEEE 802.15.4 Markets
Dec. 8, 2009
Targeting wireless applications such as ZigBee and IPv6/6LoWPAN, the ATmega128RFA1 family of low-power MCUs is IEEE 802.15.4 compliant and combines a picoPower AVR MCU and a 2.4-GHz RF transceiver. The family also gains support via the QTouch Library for combining capacitive touch functionality with RF in a single chip. Key features include a long operational range, very low voltage operation without compromising performance, and a wake-on-radio feature that enables autonomous RF transmission and reception.
