Five 16-Mbit (LH28F160S3/S5) and 32-Mbit (LH28F320S3/S5) smart voltage flash devices support Common Flash Interface (CFI) software for simple future upgrades. Available in ultra-compact, ultra-thin Chip Size Package (CSP), SSOP and TSOP configurations, the high-density chips offer the firm's Smart Voltage 3V and 5V options that allow fast factory programming and low voltage designs. The devices are symmetrically blocked with flexible voltage and extended cycling for resident flash arrays in SIMMs and memory cards. Their enhanced suspend capabilities provide solutions for code and data storage in applications where secure code storage is required, such as networking. Three levels of protection are offered: absolute protection with Vpp at GND, selective hardware block locking, or flexible software block locking. The smart voltage flash devices operate at a low, 2.7V for read/write/erase and a high speed up to 130 ns at 2.7V (32-Mbit device).
