M48T128Y (128K x 8) and M48T512Y (512K x 8) hybrid modules are high-density SRAM Timekeepers that offer real-time clock features such as BCD coded year, month, day, date, hours, minutes and seconds and typical non-volatile features such as unlimited write cycles, fast read and write access of 70 ns, automatic power-fail detection, and write protection. The devices contain a precision voltage reference and a comparator that monitors the VCC line for an out-of-tolerance condition. When an invalid VCC condition occurs, the Timekeeper write protects the stored data to protect against spurious overwrite operations.
