Self proclaimed as the industry's first 18 Mb, 512Kx36 dual-port memory devices, the company's offerings include both synchronous and asynchronous devices. The 70T3539M synchronous device operates at 166 MHz while the 70T653M asynchronous device runs at access times as low as 10 ns. Features of the synchronous IDT 70T3539M include full-boundary counters, multiple independent chip and byte enables, a collision detect signal, and synchronous interrupts. The IDT 70T653M asynchronous device includes busy/logic, semaphore flags, and interrupts and a rapid-write mode that allows designers to perform consecutive write cycles without pulsing the write-enabling control pins inactive during address and data transitions. Both are available in 256-BGA packages with prices starting at $110 each/10,000. INTEGRATED DEVICE TECHNOLOGY, INC., Santa Clara, CA. (408) 492-8256.
