Aimed at the I2C and SMBus interfaces, the PCA9558, PCA9560 and PCA9561 EEPROMs are suited for applications in notebook computers, server, telecom and networking applications. The PCA9558 is an integrated, multi-function device composed of a six-bit (five-bit multiplexed/one-bit latched) I2C/SMBus EEPROM. It also includes an eight-bit I/O expander and a 2-Kb serial EEPROM with write protect. The PCA9560 is a dual six-bit (five-bit, multiplexed/one-bit latched) I2C/SMBus EEPROM with two sets of internal, non-volatile six-bit EEPROMs. It is used for applications that require three settings. The PCA9561 integrates four six-bit, non-volatile registers. Its multiplexer allows five different sets of six-bit values to be preset and selected without having to send lengthy commands via the I2C bus. Prices range from $1 to $2.89 each/1,000.
