The combination of low voltage/low power operation and high speed makes a pair of 16-Mbit flash memories suitable for use in cell phones, pagers, and other mobile communication products, as well as set-top boxes, PC peripherals, and many other consumer and computer applications. The M28W160T/B is fully pin- and software-compatible with the Intel 28F160B3 and is also pin-compatible with the Atmel AT49BV1604 and Micron MT28F160A3. Features include low standby current, zero recovery time from power down, and a shorter program/erase latency time of typically 400 ns, giving more efficient support of simultaneous read/write operations in EEPROM emulation.
