Serial EEPROMs Boast SPI Bus Compatibility

Four new members of a serial EEPROM product line are distinguished by their compatibility with the 10 MHz SPI bus. The 32 Kb CAT25C32 and CAT25C33 and 64 Kb CAT25C64 and CAT25C65 operate in the two most popular SPI serial clock modes: 0,0 and 1,1. The two 32 Kb devices have a 4K x 8 organization, while the 64 Kb devices have 8K x 8. In addition, the 25C32 and 25C64 have four memory block protection modes, while the 25C33 and 25C65 have six. All of the devices operate with power supplies ranging from 1.8V to 6.0V. The EEPROMs target applications where high performance, extended battery life and small size are essential.
