The ADG918 and ADG919 debut as the industry's first wideband CMOS switches to operate at frequencies beyond 1 GHz. The ADG918 is an absorptive switch and the ADG919 is a reflective (matched) switch. Both exhibit power consumption in the order of 5 µA. Another group of devices, the ADG3231/2/3, ADG3257 and ADG3245/6/7, is entering the market as the company's first digital switches and possess wide-range voltage level translation capabilities to eliminate external circuitry in 1.8V to 3.3V translations. The ADG3231/2/3 are JTAG switches with 1.6V to 3.6V logic translation and are available in a six-lead SOT-23. The ADG3257 is an industry standard 3257 switch in a 16-lead QSOP. The ADG3245/6/7 are 8-, 10- and 16-bit digital switches, respectively, with 3.3V to 1.8V translation capabilities. They are available in TSSOPs and CSPs. Yet another first, the ADG819 monolithic, single-pole double-throw CMOS switch, comes in either wafer-level or die-size packaging and is said to be a true CSP because it has no plastic coating. The device operates on a supply range from 1.8V to 5.5V and provides break-before-make switching action. Pricing is as follows: ADG918 and ADG919 are $1.07 each/1,000; ADG3231/2/3 are $0.43, $0.52 and $0.57 each/1,000, respectively; ADG3257 is $0.57 each/1,000; ADG3245/6/7 are $0.71, $0.74 and $0.98 each/1,000, respectively; and ADG819 in die-size packaging is $0.93 each/1,000.
