Guaranteeing 100% code compatibility with TMS320C6000 devices, the TMS320C6743 digital signal processor (DSP) is based on the TMS320C674x core and couples the precision and wide dynamic range of TI’s floating-point TMS320C67x+ core with the higher system performance of the fixed-point TMS320C64x+ core. Deemed the industry’s lowest-cost networked DSP, it integrates multiple connectivity options such as an Ethernet MAC and multimedia card/secure digital peripherals. Other features include an EDMA 3.0 engine, 192 KB of on-chip memory, and a power consumption of 490 mW total and 60 mW in standby mode.
