Providing a DSP-based solution for residential applications, the TNETV1061 Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) system-on-chip pairs its dual-processor architecture with Telogy software to ensure voice quality, scalability, low cost, and reliability. The SoC also integrates security features such as Secure RTP and SIP TLS and PIQUA embedded IP quality management technology, which offers real-time monitoring of IP services. Chip features include a TMS320C55x DSP core, MIPS RISC processor, DDR and NAND flash memory interfaces, support for SLIC interfaces, Ethernet interface that supports AutoMDIX, and a VLYNQ interface to the company’s TNETW1350A 802.11a/b/g WLAN device. The software provides a range of vocoders and supports up to four channels of voice. Other software support includes PIQUA voice quality monitoring, line echo cancellation, packet-loss compensation/recovery, SIP protocol stack and supplemental services, fax support, conferencing bridge, caller ID, foreign-voltage telephony line test, and a Wi-Fi certified 802.11b/g access point.
