The PM-44i is the firm's latest iDSP offering targeted at the inkjet multifunction peripheral (MFP) market and comes complete with a new series of iDSP image pipeline software: CopyFusion, ScanFusion and FaxFusion. The device provides inkjet MFP manufacturers with an integrated, low-cost solution that features high-performance image processing and improvements in copying, scanning and faxing quality and speed. The CopyFusion, ScanFusion and FaxFusion packages provide customizable software pipelines that perform the complex image processing required for higher quality copying, scanning and faxing. The PM-44i is a third-generation iDSP that features a 133-MHz processor for image processing and is claimed to be the first iDSP to integrate a large, high-speed SRAM to reduce system costs.
