In its third generation, the LatticeXP2 family of true 90-nm, non-volatile FPGAs doubles maximum logic capacity to 40K LUTs, improves performance by 25%, adds dedicated DSP blocks, and reduces price per function by up to 50%. Power consumption has also been optimized on the 1.2V process, reducing static power usage by 33%. The family consists of five members with capacities from 5K to 40K 4-input LUTs. Embedded block memory provides up to 885 Kb in 18 Kb dual-port blocks. For scratch pad memories, LUTs can also be converted into distributed memory blocks. I/O capacities range from 86 to 540 pins and buffers support the most popular I/O standards including LVCMOS, SSTL, HSTL, and LVDS. The XP2 devices are available in csBGAs, thin and standard FPBGA packages, and TQFP and PQFP options. Additionally, the devices support up to 885 Kb of flash memory. Samples of the first member of the family, the 17K LUT XP2-17 in 208PQFP, 256ftBGA, and 484fpBGA packages, are available now.
