The combination of the 568 digital surround processor with the updated 562V.2 multimedia controller yields high-performance audio and video capabilities. The 568 subsystem provides decoding of every current and near-term digital and analog surround format and sophisticated logic-surround. It also offers enhanced stereo playback, extensive user customization, and flexible, simple operation. The upgraded 562V.2 complements the 568 by supplying even more flexible signal-routing and extended S-Video facilities.

The 568 features five digital and two analog audio inputs and pass-through video facilities. When these are paired with the 562V.2, though, the combination delivers 12 digital and eight analog inputs, plus 10 video inputs (six composite, four S-Video), with three kinds of video outputs in each format. Also, the 568 incorporates 24-bit, 96-kHz audio processing in the front four channels while employing the company's proprietary DSP for all audio processing. Together, the system employs an internal precision of at least 48 bits ranging up to 72 bits throughout.

The 568 digital surround processor costs $6495, and the 562V.2 multimedia controller costs $2495.
