With an eye on packet-based applications in the backbone of converged networks, the ComStruct CPCI/C6410 voice and data processing engine provides PCI, PICMG- and PICMG 2.16-compliant connectivity. This allows the engine to be integrated with the company's HXP H.110 intelligent, packet-transport platform and ComStruct telecom subsystem management software. The device also provides ATM connectivity in 3G wireless infrastructures or fixed-line networks. Other features include eight TMS320C203 DSPs, each with 16 MB of SDRAM and an MPC8260 controller configured as a communication processor and supported by up to 192 MB of SDRAM and 4 MB of flash memory. Pricing is $30 per port in OEM quantities. For further details, call Sarah Spreitzer at MOTOROLA INC., Tempe, AZ. (512) 933-7753.
