The Blackfin family of DSPs has added four new members: the ADSP-BF539, ADSP-BF539F, ADSP-BF538 and BF538F. Taking on challenges in automotive markets, the ADSP-BF539 and ADSP-BF539F, provide CAN- and MOST-bus connectivity. The ADSP-BF539 devices are 400-MHz processors operating in the automotive temperature ranges and employing the INTEGRITY real-time operating system from Green Hills. The ADSP-BF539F is designed for use as a host or system controller and includes either 512 KB or 1 MB of flash memory. Each processor executes a range of real-time signal processing, vehicle network stacks, diagnostics code, and software-download functions. Targeting industrial, medical, and biometrics apps, the ADSP-BF538 and BF538F processors deliver core performance up to 500-MHz. They provide industry-standard interfaces, CAN, SPORTs UARTS, SPI, TWI, and GPIO, plus dual DMA controllers. The ADSP-BF538F also provides users with up to 512 KB or 1 MB of flash memory. Pricing for the Blackfin ADSP-BF538 device starts at $13.75. For further details, contact ANALOG DEVICES, INC., Norwood, MA. (800) 426-2564
