The DS1124, deemed to be the first programmable delay line to specify delay tolerance from input to output, rather than to a reference signal, features an integral nonlinearity (INL) of ±3 ns over an industrial temperature range. It can delay signals up to 12.5 MHz and operates from a 4.75V to 5.25V supply. The eight-bit programmable delay line employs a three-wire serial interface to allow cascading of several devices for multiple programmable delays. Nominal delay per step is 0.25 ns with a delay of 20 ns at step 0 and 83.75 ns at step 255. Available in a 10-pin microMAX package, price is $1.70 each/10,000.
