Groomed for the next generation of ultrasound instruments, the MAX4800A and MAX4802A eight-channel, high-voltage low-charge-injection SPST switches employ a 20-MHz serial interface for high-speed switching. Exploiting the company's proprietary BCDMOS process technology, the devices combine high-voltage, bilateral DMOS switches and low-power CMOS logic to enable control of high-voltage analog signals with low-voltage control signals. Additionally, they support a wide range of high-voltage supplies, including Vps+/Vps- = +100V/-100V, +185V/-15V, and +40V/-160V. The MAX4802A also integrates 35 kilo-Ohm bleed resistors to discharge capacitive loads such as piezoelectric transducers. Available in 28-pin PLCC, 48-pin TQFP, and 25-bump CSBGA packages, prices start at $8 each/1,000. MAXIM INTEGRATED PRODUCTS, Sunnyvale, CA. (800) 998-8800.
