EMIT, the embedded micro internetworking technology from emWare, is ported to firm's M16C 16-bit µC family to provide M16C users with full Internet connectivity for products in industrial, security, home automation and automotive sectors. EMIT consists of three main components: emMicro device object server, emGateway link to Java, http and Web browsers, and interface using Web browser to feed information directly into products equipped with M16C. The MC16C family combines the advantages of register and accumulator-based architectures to provide high-speed processing with RISC-like performance.
