MCU Performs Low-Power Authentication

In a 16-pin TQFN, the MAXQ1004 16-bit MCU adds secure authentication to any application while consuming little power. Operating at 6 MHz, the single-cycle device consumes 3.75 mA and 300 nA in stop mode. It integrates a true random-number generator and an AES encryption engine supporting 128-, 192-, and 256-bit key sizes. Features include 16 KB of flash memory and communication options.
