Accelerators Deliver Up to 13 TOPS to AI Apps

Hailo recently expanded its Hailo-8 AI accelerator series with the Hailo-8L and Hailo-8 Century. They can be used in a wide range of edge AI applications, which cater to both entry-level and high-capacity use cases in areas such as security and smart cities to transportation, smart retail, industrial automation, and automotive.

The Hailo-8L accelerator supports entry-level products that require limited AI performance. It can deliver up to 13 teraoperations per second (TOPS) and is upgradable to higher AI capacities using the Hailo-8 software suite. Meanwhile, the Hailo-8 Century PCIe card line offers up to 208 TOPS for demanding applications like intelligent vision systems or edge video-analytics platforms.

Both accelerators offer high-efficiency processing with low latency and are capable of handling complex pipelines with multiple real-time streams and concurrent processing of different models and AI tasks.
