Algorithm Development In Sensor Hub IDE/Dev Board Combo Speeds Customization

April 8, 2014
QuickLogic released an integrated development environment (IDE) and development board for customizing its low-power sensor hub, ultimately making always-on context awareness a reality.

QuickLogic released an integrated development environment (IDE) and development board for customizing its low-power sensor hub, ultimately making always-on context awareness a reality. The tools help speed time-to-market thanks to an abstraction layer between sensor algorithms and software (typically expressed in a C-like language) and the hardware implementation. The Flexible Fusion Engine Algorithm Tool (FFEAT) IDE accelerates and facilitates code and algorithm development. It also compiles to the company’s ArcticLink 3 S1 power sensor hub architecture and performs clock cycle-accurate simulation and real-time hardware debugging. The development board provides a proven hardware platform for sensor hub development, testing, and debugging. It supports connectivity to host systems, such as a PC via USB, directly to a Snapdragon-based DragonBoard from Qualcomm. Flexible connectors connect third-party sensor boards to simplify sensor bring-up, algorithm development, hardware debug.
