By leveraging unique, proven algorithms, Imagination Technologies says its HelloSoft WebTRC engine enhances voice and video quality for conferencing services when using mobile and tablet platforms. The company’s Dynamic Video Quality Management (DVQM) and Enhanced Voice Quality Management (EVQM) algorithms mitigate up to 30% of packet losses to deliver high quality voice and video under lossy wireless environments. Pre-processing modules for acoustic echo cancellation and noise cancellation improve voice quality for speakerphone functionality across platforms. It’s optimized for major processor architectures such as the MIPS CPU architecture, and supports Android, iOS, Windows, Linux-based operating systems. Voice-codec support includes OPUS, G.722, G.722.1, AMR-WB, AMR-NB, G.729ab, G.723.1, Speex, EVRC, and iLBC. It also supports VP8 an H.264 video codecs. WebRTC is an open initiative, recognized by Google, Mozilla, Opera and others, that enables development of rich, Web-based real-time communications (RTC) multimedia applications (e.g., video chat, file/screen-sharing, and other two-way communications).
