Intel Tool Suite Advances Fuel Next-Gen HTML5-Based Mobile Apps

Upgrades to Intel’s XDK HTML5 cross-platform development tool suite were designed to enhance HTML5-based mobile-application experiences. New capabilities include third-party service application programming interfaces (APIs) for application monetization, as well as back-end and authentication services to create more content-rich, interactive apps. Developers can opt to add hundreds of open-source Cordova plug-ins, such as Apple In-App Purchase, Google In-App Billing, Google AdMob, Google Maps, Facebook, and proprietary plug-ins. The XDK, available as a free download, can be used for Windows, OS X, and Ubuntu Linux.
