Elma Electronic released the JetSys-2010 industrial-grade, rugged, small-form-factor (SFF) platform for AI inference computing, facilitating the ability to develop high-performance computing systems for industrial and railway applications.

The platform leverages the NVIDIA Jetson Orin NX system-on-module (SOM) with 16 GB and the NVIDIA JetPack software development kit to accelerate end-to-end AI application development. The SDK also includes the Jetson Linux board support package (BSP), the Jetson AI Stack, and Jetson Platform Services.

The JetSys-2010 expands the rugged computing market with a highly reliable and low-maintenance AI processing platform. Users can retain full, local control over AI data without the need to go to the cloud, no matter the conditions on the ground.

Ed Tech Xchange Ai On The Edge
Artificial intelligence requires compute horsepower, but more efficient algorithms and specialized hardware have made it practical for edge nodes.

Features include passive cooling for applications where environmental protection is critical, like mining, robotics, agriculture, and autonomous vehicles. It's also well-suited for industrial applications at the edge, such as robotics, automation, and networked mobility solutions, and meets EN 50155 for use in rugged transportation applications.

The JetSys-2010 comes with two Gigabit Ethernet ports, USB, and LAN, as well as RS-232, RS-485, CANbus, and user-defined I/O. Additional interfaces include maintenance ports, like USB-Console or a DVI port and an optional extension, as well as I/O-ready GSML camera interfaces. The unit ships with either 1-TB M.2 or M.2 2242 SSD storage and is powered by a railway-compliant power supply.
