Addressing high-performance applied computing applications, such as are found in datacomm/telecomm, industrial control/automation, and military/COTS markets, the LBC8918 PICMG 1.0 Rev. 22-compliant passive backplane SBC packs a Pentium III processor with 512 KB of full-core-speed L2 cache, a ServerWorks ServerSet III LE chipset with a 133-MHz front-side bus, and up to 2 GB of PC133-registered SDRAM DIMMs, with full ECC support, on two sockets. Also on-board are Ethernet auto-negotiating controllers, dual-channel PCI Ultra DMA/33 IDE support, USB and serial/parallel ports, 32-bit/33-MHz on-board and 64-bit/33- and 66-MHz off-board PCI Bus interfaces, Phoenix BIOS, and more.
