EMBEDDED SYSTEMS CONFERENCE, San Jose, CA. – Detailed as a CompactPCI blade server in double Eurocard format, the D7 single-board computer is equipped with one or two Intel 1.66-GHz Xeon dual core processors and Intel's server-chipset E7520. It can be used both as system or peripheral slot board. As an option, it can also be used as a 64-bit/66-MHz system or peripheral slot board on the CompactPCI bus where it needs one or two slots depending on the configuration. The board supports hot swapping and PIGMG 2.16. Its PCI Express lanes interface with Gigabit Ethernet interfaces at the front and are used for the connection of up to two XMC modules. In addition to standard I/O, i.e., USB and UARTs, the D7 includes an FPGA for configuration of application-specific I/O functions. These include additional serial interfaces, graphics, fieldbus interfaces, and digital I/O. For more details, call Stephen Cunha at MEN MICRO INC., Ambler, PA. (215) 542-9575.
