Designed to be pc board mounted, the 409B Series of miniature bypass switches operates to 3 GHz and is intended for microstrip applications. The 0.75" x 1.0" x 0.45", 50 ohm switch with 24 Vdc actuating voltage can be hot switched at 10W CW and can handle up to 50W CW. The insertion phase repeatability from port-to-port is within 0.01 dB for a 100 MHz bandwidth. The switch is also reported as providing superior RF performance by simplifying the stripline circuit. It can be used in place of two SPDT switches for applications that require it to bypass a circuitry element such as an amplifier or filter or as a direct input to output insertion.
