The single-slot VP 742/10x is a PowerPC-based VME64 board designed around the latest MPC7455 PowerPC "G4" processor. It features speed options of 800 MHz or 1 GHz and up to 1 Gbyte of SDRAM. The board targets applications in the military, aerospace, scientific, and telecom industries. The MPC7455 processor offers 128-bit AltiVec technology, 256 kbytes of L2 cache, and L1 cache locking for key performance algorithms or code. The VP 742/10x supports two flexible PMC sites, one with rear I/O. It also offers a 10/100BaseTX Ethernet interface, two RS-232/422/485 serial ports, six 16-bit general-purpose timers, a real-time calendar clock, and the Tundra Universe II VME interface. The board supports the VxWorks and Linux operating systems. Pricing for the VP 742/10x board starts at $3000 each in volume quantities.
