Seeking employment in automotive control systems requiring more reliable control and may be short on board space, the FDMS2380 dual-channel solenoid driver integrates recirculation and demagnetization circuits for driving inductive loads. To save space, the device comes in an 8 mm x 12 mm PQFN package. Other features include over-voltage, over-current, and over-temperature protection, a diagnostic signal that provides enhanced fault handling and protection, and an extended operating voltage supporting the automotive power bus without additional protection. Also, the FDMS2380 sports lead-free terminals and meets requirements for moisture sensitivity in accordance with the joint IPC/JEDEC standard J-STD-020. Price is $7 each/1,000.
