The M-FIAM is a modular, DC input front-end that protects against transients, limits inrush current, and filters EMI in a single, mini-sized package. The M-FIAM (Military Filter and Input Attenuator) enables designers using the company's second-generation 300Vin dc/dc converters to meet the conducted emissions requirements of MIL-STD-461E, the transient requirements of MIL-STD-704E, and the environmental test requirements of MIL-STD-810.
The module also protects system hardware from inrush current. It accepts an input voltage of 180 to 375 Vdc and delivers output current up to 3A. Housed in an industry standard half-brick package measuring 2.28" x 2.2" x 0.54", the M-FIAM may be mounted on-board or in-board, depending on model selected. Prices start at $105 each/100.
