Claimed to be the highest density content-addressable memory (CAM) currently available, the KE5BCCA4M with a 4.7 Mb classification is designed for networking and communications equipment. The device is capable of performing100 million look-ups per second and supports operations up to OC-768 and 40 Gb Ethernet. To manage larger packet sizes, wide tables are employed to support options such as authentication, security and privacy, QoS, and CoS. The device features a dual-port architecture with an I/O port and an output port for search results. In a 324-ball BGA, price is $98 each/10,000.
