Low-Power, 10-Bit A/D Converter Hits Minimum Word Rates Of 40 MSPS

Oct. 1, 1998

Capable of minimum word rates of 40 MSPS, the SPT7863 monolithic A/D converter is a 10-bit device that features an on-chip track-and-hold to assure excellent dynamic performance without need for external components. The CMOS device is pin-compatible with the other members of the company's ADC family, which simplifies board upgrades. Device outputs are selectable for 5V TTL/CMOS compatibility to interface with TTL/CMOS logic systems and for 3V compatibility with digital ASICs, CPUs and DSPs. Power dissipation is just 160 mW at 40 MSPS with a single +5V supply.
