Quiet Fans Can Cool Alone Or With Heatsink

Aug. 1, 1998

Boasting of a space-saving thin profile (only 10 mm) and low acoustic noise, Zephyr dc brushless fans can be used independently or in conjunction with a heatsink. They come in seven sizes ranging from 40 to 120 mm, provide maximum cooling with speeds varying from 2500 to 6500 rpm, and weigh between 20 and 324 grams. They also have a ball bearing-type design, operate at 12 vdc, and are optionally available with no connector or with motherboard or daisy-chain connector. The fans are suitable for use with various CPUs, as well as with bonded-fin heatsinks in forced convection applications.
