Deep on-board acquisition memory, wide analog bandwidth and a large analog input range are said to make the NI 5112 oscilloscope suitable for ATE and production test applications. Because the 100-MHz scope for PXI and CompactPCI systems is based on the high-speed PCI bus, it acquires and processes large waveforms 100 times faster than comparable GPIB-based instruments, it's claimed. The two-channel scope comes with an Interchangeable Virtual Instrument (IVI) driver and ready-to-run oscilloscope software. It works seamlessly with the firm's LabVIEW and LabWindows/CVI application development software. Specs include 100-MHz input bandwidth, 100-MS/s real-time sampling, 2.5-GS/s random interleaved sampling, 8-bit resolution, and 16 Mbytes of memory depth per channel.
