PC/104+ Module Marries Gigabit Networks

Providing Gigabit connectivity for industrial applications, the PPM-Gigabit PC/104+ module relies on an Intel 82541ER Ethernet controller to emulate the Intel Pro/1000 PCI board. The PPM-Gigabit provides a direct 32-bit PCI interface to the bus and supports transfer rates of 10, 100, and 1,000 Mb/s in both full- and half-duplex environments. The module automatically detects and configures itself to the speed of the link partner and supports 2- and 3-pair cable downshifts.
