A new power entry module, series DC21, has been designed to save space and minimize time and cost during the assembly of electronic devices. The AC inlet, IEC/EN 60320-1/C14 and on/off switch functions are internally wired and connect to a printed circuit board with three pins, L, N and E. A rear cover further insulates the module from other components. The rocker-style switch is recessed to avoid accidental actuation. This switch comes in one or two poles with a lighted option for status indication. In-rush rating is 100A for 3 ms to 4 ms, 5A continuous. Lifetime is rated for 50,000 cycles at 10A, 250V. The series DC22 is housed in a metal case and comes with an EMC filter. The filter is optimized to attenuate noise in both common and differential modes. Current ratings range from 1A to 10A with UL, CSA, and ENEC approval. Prices start under $5 each/500. SCHURTER INC., Santa Rosa, CA. (800) 848-2600.
