Designed for solder replacement in surface-mount and other microelectronic applications, EPO-TEK E3316-5 is a one-component, silver-filled, electrically-conductive epoxy that adheres well to copper and tin lead surfaces on pc boards as well as to several thick-film and capacitor metalizations. The formulation is a 100% solids system containing no solvents. It can be screen-printed or stenciled through metal masks, and has high thixotropy, which allows for fine pitch resolution with no bleedout. It also reduces environmental hazards in manufacturing processes as cleaning solvents for flux removal and lead-containing solder alloys and solvents are unnecessary.
