Lightweight and ruggedized for field operations, the PCI Portable enclosure has been designed to withstand harsh environmental conditions. Large rubber bumpers on all corners absorb shocks before the case is impacted. Users can lift the LCD monitor to 90° so the screen can be seen from a variety of directions without moving the enclosure. The PCI Portable’s 14" display is protected by non-glare glass. A keyboard/mouse touch pad with 108 keys latches securely to the enclosure base. Equipped with a 400W power supply and an 8-slot backplane, the enclosure can be easily outfitted with any PICMG-based single board computer to make a complete PC platform. A sturdy hold-down bar retains boards in their slots. Two card cage fans blow filtered air over the boards. Two 5.25" drive bays leave enough room for a CD-ROM and removable hard drive shuttle.
