Low package profile, wide viewing angles, and wide selection of colors and axial lead styles are among the features expected to propel the BL-X Series LED lamps into numerous compact electronic products. Packaged in industry-standard, 2.1 x 2.2 x 2.7-mm high modules, the LEDs offer a 55° viewing angle using a diffused lens and 35° with a water-clear lens and come in red, green, yellow, orange, and amber colors with high-efficiency, super and ultra chip intensity levels. Axial lead packaging options include the gull-wing BLX-61-F7 Series for handheld instruments and cell phones, the Z-bend BLX-61-F9 Series for use in security alarms and pushbutton switches, and yoke-lead BLX-61-F8 Series for various subminiature applications. The LEDs emit up to 150 mcd (Iv typical), can withstand pc board assembly and soldering conditions.
