System upgrade and maintenance is said to be simplified with the TR4C, a fully self-contained, 4U cassette enclosure measuring just 4.4" wide and able to be placed side-by-side in standard 19" racks. The enclosure provides complete flexibility and independence by allowing the individual upgrade of separate computer systems.Suited for multi-processing applications and offering expansion capabilities, the enclosure offers OEMs the equivalent of one PC for every rack unit. This allows four individual computer systems to fit in a single 4U rack space. Each of these computers can handle a single-board computer and up to three application cards. The enclosure can have either an ISA/PCI or ISA passive backplane with four, full-length slots. The design incorporates a single 130W power supply, front accessible floppy and CD-ROM drive.
