Conforming to PCI SIG specifications, the 6325 PCI Express edgecard connector allows user upgrades and bandwidth support beyond the capacity of PCI Slot and AGP connectors. The component provides a 2.5 Gb/s data rate and is available with 36 (x1), 64 (x4), 98 (x8), and 164 (x16) contact positions, each with a 1-mm pitch. The one-piece, high-density connector supports different bandwidth requirements for a 1.58-mm thick graphics card. Other features include contact lengths of 2.3 mm and 3 mm, locating bosses that ensure proper connector alignment to the motherboard, and an ejector latch. Contacts are offset to form four rows on a 2-mm pitch. Pricing is less than $0.01 per pin for quantities of 1,000 or less. AVX CORP. Myrtle Beach, SC. (843) 946-0414
