Optimized to track power rails in three flexible configurations, the SC416 dual-output, synchronous step-down controller tracks startup and shutdown voltages in notebook computers, portable devices, tablet PCs, and embedded applications. The device operates with an input voltage from 5V to 25V. Outputs are regulated to within 1% of specified levels and are adjustable from 0.75V to 5V or can be configured with pre-set voltages of 1.8V or 1.5V for VOUT1 and 1.25V or 1.05V for VOUT2. The controller comes in a 4 mm x 4 mm MLP package that is WEEE/RoHS compliant. Additionally, soft-start pins allow users to track voltage levels in ratiometric, concentric, and independent modes. For applications requiring tracking of more than two voltage levels, multiple SC416 devices can be linked together. The SC416 is priced at $1.39 each/1,000. An evaluation board is also available.
