First optimized for 2.5V operation, the VCX family of logic devices now guarantees 1.8V ac and dc performance on its data sheets. These next-generation Crossvolt VCX devices, which can operate from 1.65V to 1.95V, ease the transition from 3.3V to lower voltages for designers. They are suited for on-board buffering applications in servers and workstations, as well as in computing, telecomm, and DIMM memory module applications. The 1.8V additions to the VCX family offer delays of less than 10 ns at VCC of 1.8V. Their inputs and outputs tolerate overvoltages and the devices consume just 10 µA in performing 16-, 18- and 20-bit functions.
