Checking photoplots of pc boards before making expensive film is the goal of Ivex View. Running under Windows 95/NT and reading Gerber files in industry-standard formats RS-274D and RS-274X, the software allows the designer to proofread photoplot files for irregularities in the Gerber output. When a problem is detected, the original board can be corrected and a new output generated. In addition to previewing files, the designer can use the program to organize multilayer designs quickly into job files, which describe each layer of the board, plus an optional drill file. Other features include the ability to display drill holes from NC Drill output, highlight D-Codes, and print photo-positive or photo-negative artwork on a laser printer.
