Boasting some of the highest current ratings available in the 1206 form factor, the company’s latest line of fast-acting chip fuses are viable for use in power supplies, servers, communications equipment, voltage-regulator modules, and other space-constrained applications. The surface-mount components are also said to exhibit strong arc suppression characteristics. Features include current values up to 20A with voltage ratings to 24 Vdc, an operating temperature range from -55°C to +125°C, and a 100A interrupt at the rated voltage. The fuses are available on 178-mm diameter reels for compatibility with high-volume assembly methods. Pricing is $0.22 each/10,000. TYCO ELECTRONICS LTD., Menlo Park, CA. (800) 227-7040.
