A new series of edgecard connectors has been designed for .093" ±.005" daughtercards. Engineered to reduce OEMs’ time-to-market and associated costs, these double-row components are said to be an economical and efficient approach to high-density requirements. The connectors boast superior electrical and physical characteristics, together with the utmost in design flexibility. They are useful for backplane wiring or any application requiring the circuit connection of one printed circuit board to daughterboards measuring .093". Capable of withstanding continual heat, these connectors are uniquely suited for testing applications since they come in high-temperature tolerant materials. They may be specified for process control, security systems, computer peripherals and general industrial and commercial use. Contact centers on the edgeboard connectors measure .100". Approved by UL and CSA, the product has selective gold plating, a current rating of 3A, and comes with contacts ranging from 05/10 to 80/160, in single increments. Designed in vertical mount, extender card and right-angle bend configurations, pricing starts at less than $0.25/contact pair/100-pieces. SULLINS ELECTRONICS, San Marcos, CA. (888) 774-3100.
