SMT Chip Capacitor Series Adds Telecom-Ready Components

Expanding the company’s surface-mount chip capacitor offerings is a component specifically designed for tip-and-ring telecom applications. Dubbed the tip-and-ring capacitor, it features a standard nickel barrier solder plate termination and is compatible with standard surface-mount reflow processes. A Flexiterm termination is now available on the tip and ring capacitors, which promises to prevent PC-board cracks due to flexing. The capacitor specifies an X7R dielectric rating from -55°C to 125°C and capacitance values up to 1.2 µF. Other specs include a 250-Vdc TELCO rating and a dielectric withstanding voltage of 625V.
